The National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 74th Independence Day speech this year with the vision to create a national digital health ecosystem. As per NDHM, every Indian will be given a Health ID which will work as a health Account of every Indian. The pilots have been rolled out in six UTs — Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, Ladakh and Puducherry.
